Humanitarian, philanthropist, author & successful business man – Ali Manek is a whirlwind!
Every day through his business, his family and his humanitarian work in the Scarborough and Toronto communities, Ali Manek challenges each of us to achieve a life worth living well.
Ali's journey... and his vision... are definitely compelling.
Ali Manek comes from a family of small business owners. His parents came to Canada as refugees from Uganda in 1972 and proudly owned the Dollar Store at Warden and Lawrence Aves. for many years before starting a new venture in Prime Flooring. Since then, Prime Flooring has grown into an online resource for flooring products and services delivered with dependability, customer service, and uniqueness.
After teaching high school (you read correctly!), Ali set off to obtain his M.B.A. and a new online vintage clothing business called Karma Closet Thrift Stores.
Ali also founded Our Village, a global charitable organization which provides relief following disasters. He's travelled to over 50 countries to support local communities helping to build orphanages, schools and water wells.
Most recently, in early 2018, Ali ran for MPP for Scarborough Centre.
It's an amazing tale of energy and ingenuity.
A casual business look suits Ali as he moves through his days.
Ali is on the move – which you can clearly see from the images on this page. On any given day, he could be in his office, out in the community listening to local stories, on stage speaking to an audience, or wrapping his arms around his beautiful wife and daughters.
He's been a long-time client of King & Bay and loves the pefect fit and the ability to customize garments that make him stand out from everyone else – even if it's with a classically simple look.
Ali is committed to helping build a better future for his family and his community – and we're honored to have him as a client of King & Bay.
