It was a true honour to design a one-of-a-kind raw silk jacquard jacket to commemorate his extraordinary milestone with the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

On Saturday, February 21st, the Octagon felt a little more historic.
This year marks 30 years of Bruce Buffer inside the cage with the Ultimate Fighting Championship; three decades of the most recognizable voice in combat sports. For a generation of fight fans, his presence isn’t just part of the show, it is the moment before history is made.
For King & Bay, this milestone meant something deeper. It represents 30 years of a man who has elevated the standard of presentation inside the Octagon.
Buffer's approach to style mirrors his announcing: bold, intentional and unforgettable. Over the years, he’s shown that commanding an arena isn’t only about volume, it’s about presence. And when tailoring is done right, it becomes part of the performance.
To mark the occasion, we created a one-of-a-kind Raw Silk Jacquard Smoking Jacket designed specifically for his 30th anniversary.
Crafted from raw silk jacquard, the jacket carries depth, texture and movement, catching the light the same way Buffer's voice fills a room. The rich emerald tone was chosen as a nod to the traditional 30th anniversary colour, symbolizing longevity, strength and legacy. It’s a colour that is commanding, much like the man wearing it.
Legacy in the Details
The custom anniversary lining was made just for this moment with personal detail hidden inside the jacket. While the audience sees the bold exterior under the arena lights, the lining tells the story: 30 years of defining championship moments, fight after fight, city after city. It’s a subtle tribute that becomes visible only when Buffer opens the jacket.
Underneath the jacket, a pleated tuxedo shirt with Swarovski buttons adds just the right amount of shine. To bring the entire look together, we added a navy bowtie and matching trousers. Every piece was chosen to support the jacket without taking the attention, letting the raw silk jacquard jacket be the focus.
